Fuzzy, do you really believe what you stated, or are you just acting like a troll in search of popcorn?

Seems that getting up people's noses is becoming a blood sport, and not restricted to the newcomer.  This 'popcorn' fetish is as bad as the trolls it's brought out for.

Na no problems, Fuzzy stated his opinion as it stand all well and fine for him.

I know that Boomer has a pet human, not the other way around, I also know that I have put my life between an animal of which one I did know (my best bud at the time) and one I did not know and a car on two different occasions.

The jackass in the Vette who had attempted to smash HawkEye into the black top doing 70+ mph in a 25 mph residential area also happened to have a "Save the Brown Pelican" sticker on his back window.

He also happened to lead with his face and land flat on his back...

The second time was a dog I did not know from shine-Ola who was scared, hyper, confused and dodging back and forth in rush hour traffic as jackasses in cars never braked once passing it by with horns blaring. I made my brother stop in the middle of the road, jumped out of the van and ran straight into traffic. Brakes were applied rather quickly at that point except for one car which only slowed after being hit with a rock as was the gas when it was noticed that my brother was following the rock to the car. The dog survived and was given to someone who did happen by that knew where it belonged.

So those that think "pet" is an evil concept might consider the fact that when one has an animal addition to the family it is in fact just that a family member. Now a "Beat" or "Neglect" is something totally different and I also wish that would end, but generally those who *OWN* beats and neglects also tend to have those in human form as well.

If your handing out popcorn or planning to, try to remember some veggie treats Boomer loves em.

In my fine zoo it all started with george & gracie of (burns & allen) fame for those of you old enough to remember those great old show's (in reruns also). then along came itty bitty, so small you could hold in the palm of your hand. and then came lou & larry that make's 5 and to top it off they are all black, hard to tell apart at time's . oh yea I almost forgot to mention the little woman diane who I love most of all . almost too mushy and I'm ok with that

my cats need me as much as i need them. they enjoy my company., and i theirs. if they didn't, fuzzy, i'd let them go. but the fact that they arn't clawing at the windows trying to escape, and instead crawl under the covers with me every night, tells me they like the disposition.

A cat named Flossie allows me to share her living space. She looks a little bit like this:

She's about 14 or 15 years old. We're not totally sure of her precise age, but that's pretty close. And although she's an old kitty, she still acts like a kitten most of the time. She's been an indoor cat her whole life, and she could live to be at least 20. So hopefully she's got a few good years left in her.

She was originally adopted by my brother and his wife. After they split up, my brother got custody of the cat, because his ex claimed that Flossie didn't like women. (Yeah, right .) So Flossie lived with my brother for a while, and then a little over 10 years ago, my brother suddenly became quite ill. I took Flossie in on a temporary basis while my brother was sick, but he didn't survive...he passed away shortly after Flossie came to live with me. After my brother died, there was no question in my mind that Flossie would live with me permanently. Not only do I love cats anyway, but she's like a living piece of my brother's history. So now she's been with me for over 10 years. She loves sitting on my lap, she sounds like the Ark of the Covenant when she purrs, she loves to eat pretzels and goldfish crackers, she sits under my computer desk and bites my feet while I'm surfing the net, she sleeps with me every night, and she loved my boyfriend from the first moment the two of them met. When my boyfriend is here, Flossie basically ignores me .

I'm hoping that Fuzzy was just looking to get a rise out of people...I've grown up around animals my entire life, and they've always brought great joy and companionship. We've had cats, hamsters, fish, birds, and my sister once even had an iguana. My sister is now very heavily involved in greyhound rescues, and she currently has 4 greyhounds and 3 cats running around her house. We love and respect animals as friends and companions. Plus, I've seen so much evidence of how therapy animals work to comfort people who are ill, hospitalized, in nursing homes, etc. Even for those of us who aren't ill, studies show that sitting and stroking a cat for a short time brings down a person's blood pressure. So you can't beat that feeling .

Pets rock. I can't imagine living without them .

Cats don't really like baths....but Persians really 'should' be from time to time.

'Felicity' wasn't particularly happy....preferring to be known as 'Kujo the Cat' instead...
